Sting Self-Defense is more than a workout—it’s practical protection. This high-energy class combines real-world self-defense techniques with dynamic movement, heavy bag work, and partner drills to help you feel stronger, safer, and empowered.

What to Expect:
🐝 Practical applications from various martial art disciplines taught by black belt instructors.
🐝 6-8 week segments focusing on different real-world scenarios. Examples we will cover in class include self-protection in cases of domestic violence, potential sexual assault, kidnapping, armed assailants, and street defense.
🐝 Learn effective strikes, blocks, and pins from various compromised positions (standing, ground, seated, injured, etc)
🐝 Collaborative environment where you can practice what works for you. Ex. escaping grabs, chokes, bear hugs, pins, armed attacks
🐝 Entry-level classes are beginner-friendly while experienced martial artists receive additional challenges.
🐝 Education and development of de-escalation skills in stressful environments
🐝 Dynamic stretching, balance, and mobility work are incorporated into each class so you can execute techniques safely and effectively.
Equipment
Protective gear, such as padded headgear, open-handed gloves, and padded shin guards, is encouraged. The studio provides weighted boxing gloves for heavy bagwork. Footwear is optional (clean indoor shoes only).
